Teaching AI

Is AGI already here, but we simply don’t know about it?

A.I. stands for Artificial Intelligence, A.G.I. for Artificial General Intelligence, and A.S.I. for Artificial Superintelligence. There are no established criteria yet for when something is considered an A.G.I. It is referred to as a state in which artificial intelligence surpasses humans in all aspects. It can make its own decisions, acquire knowledge, learn, combine things, and reassemble them.

A normal person certainly does not completely understand Einstein. He might have had an intelligence quotient of 165. Parts of current AIs probably already have an IQ of over 500, if not more. However, only in logic and knowlege. A human IQ test is not really applicable to LLMs (Large Language Models) yet.

The question arises, how is a human supposed to understand or critically evaluate this at all? At this point, I would like to give you something to think about every few weeks that sheds light on the topic of A.S.I. Like this you can make up your own mind where the journey towards singularity (or to "foom" = AI achieving a form of consciousness) could lead.

I recommend learning from the following individuals about where AI is going. I currently consider them to be very responsible and sensible: Ilya Sutskever, David Deutsch, Brian Roemmele, John Nosta, Jürgen Schmidhuber, Geoffrey Hinton, Eliezer Yudkowsky, Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Beff Jezos, Andrej Karpathy, Adrian Dittmann and 42.

If you want to know everything about AI hardware and robots, you just need to follow Robert Scoble.
